If George Gascon had done his job and put this punk away on a third strike for felon-in-possession, we wouldn’t have gotten to this point. He didn’t, though, so this is what happened. Those cops’ blood is on George Gascon’s hands, just as much as the punk who pulled the trigger. Worthless cunt.

It would appear that the Biden regime’s estimation is that the Taliban are less dangerous than you and me. Think about that for a bit.

Why Do Celebrities Keep Blaming The NRA For Everything?

Wil Wheaton, the erstwhile child actor who once publicly berated his parents for having political opinions different from his, has a problem with the National Rifle Association. In recent years Wheaton has taken to Twitter to excoriate the NRA for—well, for what exactly? It’s sort of hard to say.

Wheaton has loudly been declaring the same thing over and over again for some time now: “Fuck the NRA,” he regularly tweets. He said it in December 2012, in April 2013, and this year once in April, another time in April, yet another time in April, once in May, once in June, once again in June, once more in June, one more time in June, once this month, and once again this month.

Why does Wheaton hate the NRA? For the same reason many other people hate it: ignorance. Wheaton serves as a great example of the near-total sphere of stupidity that encapsulates a great deal of the perennial American gun debate: somebody told him the NRA was responsible for mass shootings and terrorist attacks, he believed it unequivocally, and he continues to believe it.

Then again, one of the reasons I’ve not pursued a CCW or a C&R FFL is that one should not have to seek permission from the powers-that-be to exercise one’s rights:

Massachusetts Town Subjects Carry Permit Applicants To An Essay

Folks, I’m not joking with this one. Lowell, Massachusetts is going to require gun permit applicants to write an essay to explain why they’re exercising their Second Amendment rights. If a federal judge struck down California’s 10-day waiting period for gun owners as an unconstitutional infringement on their civil rights, then this essay portion should surely be struck down (via Lowell Sun):

A new firearms policy will go into place despite a final plea from gun-rights advocates Tuesday for looser restrictions.

The policy requires anyone seeking a license-to-carry to take a gun-safety course. Anyone applying for an unrestricted gun license must state in writing why they should receive such a license, and to provide additional documentation, such as prior military or law-enforcement service, a prior license-to-carry permit, or signed letters of recommendation.

Criminal control is more like it…especially in blue-state shitholes:

Obama’s Disorganized Community: More Than 100 Shot In Gun Control Paradise of Chicago Already in 2016

You can pretty much guarantee none of the weapons used were legally owned, so of course we need more gun control, or something. Maybe instead of a symbolic empty chair at Obama’s final State of the Union we should have an entire empty section to highlight his abominable failures as both community organizer and president.

Quoting the Chicago Tribune:

Seven people were shot to death and 30 more were wounded across Chicago over the weekend, raising the number of shootings in the city to more than 100 in just over a week into the new year, according to police.

The fatal shootings included two teens killed by a store clerk during a robbery in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, and one of three people shot at a party four blocks from Mayor Rahm Emanuel‘s home.

As of Monday morning, at least 19 people have been killed in gun violence in Chicago this year and at least 101 more have been wounded, according to datacompiled by the Tribune. This time last year, nine people had been killed and another 31 wounded, according to statistics kept by the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi released a statement blaming most of the violence on “chronic gang conflicts.”

“Every year Chicago Police recover more illegal guns than officers in any other city, and as more and more illegal guns continue to find their way into our neighborhoods it is clear we need stronger state and federal gun laws,” Guglielmi said in the statement. “So far this year, the majority of the gun violence we’ve seen are a result of chronic gang conflicts driven in part by social media commentary and petty disputes among rival factions. Despite an overall lack of cooperation from gang members, detectives are working aggressively and making optimistic progress in several cases.”

Protip: the definition of “insanity” is doing the same thing time after time and expecting a different result.
