VIDEOS – The White House cut translation of François Hollande when he speaks of “Islamic terrorism”
Is it a technical problem or a real will to censorship? The White House did not tell surely. But it’s still a funny moment has lived François Hollande, Thursday, March 31, in Washington , even though the French head of state does is probably not realized.
Following the summit on nuclear security, President Barack Obama and his French counterpart issued a joint statement, referring in particular Daech. The tone was serious, committed volunteer. But, as noted by the Media Research Center , a conservative group American media monitoring, what the French president were not translated for several seconds . And this break occurred just after he pronounced the words “Islamic terrorism” .
François Hollande said:
We are aware that the source of Islamist terrorism, it is in Syria and it is in Iraq . And we must act in Iraq and Syria. This is what we do as part of the coalition. And we find that Daech is down thanks to strikes that we have been able in the course of this coalition.
You can pretty much guarantee none of the weapons used were legally owned, so of course we need more gun control, or something. Maybe instead of a symbolic empty chair at Obama’s final State of the Union we should have an entire empty section to highlight his abominable failures as both community organizer and president.
Quoting the Chicago Tribune:
Seven people were shot to death and 30 more were wounded across Chicago over the weekend, raising the number of shootings in the city to more than 100 in just over a week into the new year, according to police.
As of Monday morning, at least 19 people have been killed in gun violence in Chicago this year and at least 101 more have been wounded, according to datacompiled by the Tribune. This time last year, nine people had been killed and another 31 wounded, according to statistics kept by the Chicago Tribune.
Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi released a statement blaming most of the violence on “chronic gang conflicts.”
“Every year Chicago Police recover more illegal guns than officers in any other city, and as more and more illegal guns continue to find their way into our neighborhoods it is clear we need stronger state and federal gun laws,” Guglielmi said in the statement. “So far this year, the majority of the gun violence we’ve seen are a result of chronic gang conflicts driven in part by social media commentary and petty disputes among rival factions. Despite an overall lack of cooperation from gang members, detectives are working aggressively and making optimistic progress in several cases.”
Protip: the definition of “insanity” is doing the same thing time after time and expecting a different result.
Leadership: “In this present crisis,” Ronald Reagan said at his inauguration, “government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.” But it took Barack Obama to get the public to believe it.
A new Gallup poll finds that the public ranks “government” as the top problem facing America today. They put it above the economy, above unemployment, and way above immigration.
When Obama took office in 2009, government ranked fourth on the list of problems, but it has moved up steadily and has held the top spot for two years now. Government wasn’t even on the list of problems in George W. Bush’s last year in office.
Did anyone think the elevation of some shitty two-bit community agitator to de facto Leader of the Free World would work out any differently? The world has taken 0bama’s measure and found him wanting. We are all less safe as a result:
I taught constitutional law for ten years. I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problems that we’re facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all, and that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m President of the United States of America.
The headline and what it describes aren’t even the worst of it:
The plan to integrate foreign opinion into the 2016 election complements Obama’s view of immigrants as part of the progressives’ domestic political coalition, and his view that America’s power can be used as a political battering-ram for progressives’ worldwide political ambitions.
For example, in 2014, he argued that Americans do not have the right to choose who can migrate into the United States. In November 2014, Obama declared that “there have been periods where the folks who were already here suddenly say, ‘Well, I don’t want those folks,’ even though the only people who have the right to say that are some Native Americans.”
Dafuq? If we don’t decide who gets to come here, who does? What is a country without borders? Not a country.
But wait…there’s more:
Obama and his fellow progressives also see foreign immigrants in the United States as better than Americans, in part, because they’re more likely to vote for progressive policies.“I’m proud to be among the first to greet you as ‘My fellow Americans’… We can never say it often or loudly enough: Immigrants and refugees revitalize and renew America,” Obama claimed at a Dec. 15 naturalization event in D.C. He also urged the immigrants to get behind his political agenda.
Lee Harvey Oswald, where are you now that we need you?
Yes, I’m going there, and if you don’t like it, you can keep 0bama company in hell. That treasonous son of a bitch has destroyed my country (that’s what he really meant by “fundamental transformation”). He’s playing with forces his coke-addled peabrain cannot comprehend, and is practically daring patriots to declare a second civil war. I might have been content to merely see him impeached and removed from office, or for him to just go away at some point, but the spineless wimps in the Republican party won’t impeach him and he’s too much of a malignant narcissist to just go away. Nothing would please me more than to see his lifeless carcass swinging from the nearest lamppost as a warning to others who would take us down the same road.
Two weeks ago, a man began firing shots in a parking lot in Colorado Springs. He moved into a Planned Parenthood facility. Eventually captured, it turns out the man is a lunatic. He lived in a trailer with no running water or electricity. He had a history of violent behavior and crazy theories about the world. But according to the American political left, the man was clearly a Christian pro-life activist.
A few days ago in California, Islamic radicals shot up a Christmas party. Armed with long barrel rifles — not handguns — and an assortment of other instruments of death, they killed more than a dozen people. The American political left, before the facts became clear, immediately started blaming Republicans, the National Rifle Association and Christians. Once it was clear that Muslims were involved, the political left looked the other way.
We are seeing both a rise in these sorts of shootings and also a rise in political blame from the left directed at their opponents. But things were not always this way. Yes, there have been mass shootings in the past. Bill Clinton, even after signing the assault weapons ban into law, saw Columbine. George W. Bush saw the Virginia Tech shooting. Though gun violence continues to decline in this country, these sorts of events seem to be happening more and more often.
In fact, the pace does seem to have quickened in Barack Obama’s America. The man who tells his fellow Americans that incendiary rhetoric can cause violence once told his supporters to take guns to knife fights. He told supporters to get in the faces of their neighbors. He told Hispanic voters to punish Republicans who, Obama said, were their enemies.
Barack Obama stunned Americans and French alike on Tuesday with his false claims about gun violence in America. “I say this every time we’ve got one of these mass shootings. This just doesn’t happen in other countries,” the president claimed, as he has repeatedly over the years. Talk about being self-absorbed.
The French have witnessed three mass public shootings this year. January saw two attacks, one on the Charlie Hebdo magazine and another on a Paris supermarket. In the November attacks, 129 people were killed and 352 were injured. In 2015, France suffered more casualties than the U.S. has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency (508 to 394).
Obama also overlooks Norway, where Anders Behring Breivik used a gun to kill 67 people and wound 110 others. Still others were killed by bombs that Breivik detonated. Of the four worst K-12 school shootings, three have occurred in Europe. Germany had two of these — one in 2002 at Erfut and another in 2009 at Winnenden, with a total death toll of 34.
Obama isn’t correct even if he meant the frequency of fatalities or attacks. Many European countries actually have higher rates of death from public shootings that resulted in four or more murders. It’s simply a matter of adjusting for America’s much larger population.
