Looks like my reflow oven is finally working…replaced the little nub of a thermocouple I previously had mounted in the hole in the back with a longer probe coming in from the right. This should make for more accurate temperature readings. The toaster oven on which it’s built was maybe $20 or so at Walmart. The controls were removed and replaced with a Rocketscream controller, which switches the heating elements on and off through an SSD. Power for the controller is from a little 5V power-supply module from a random eBay seller.
At some point, I might attach panel-mount buttons to control it. For now, I can just stick a toothpick through the holes under the display…one selects leaded or lead-free soldering profile, the other starts and stops.
