On the right: .223 brass that’s been ultrasonically cleaned. On the left: 5.56 brass that’s been both ultrasonically cleaned and tumble polished. The tumbler has a fresh batch of media, not contaminated with powder and lead residue from pulling double duty as cleaner and polisher. I might just go back to tumbling all of my brass after cleaning. It doesn’t make it work better, but it looks nice. :)
First time out with the new toy, right after picking it up this morning. Looks like some sight adjustment is in order. (I was shooting 5.56 NATO 55gr FMJ…basically an M193 load, though it was not surplus ammo.)

The line wasn’t this long when I got here…saw this as I was returning a hand truck I borrowed to get my ammo purchase to the upper lot.
Five and a half hours in the crockpot, followed by 15 minutes at 500° to get some color on it. Not bad at all…falls off the bone.
