Less than 48 hours to New Orleans.
Finished getting all the beer ready for today’s trail…time for a bit of prelube before we get under way.
Extra versatility for when I add the turret press: the bench plate kit allows presses to be swapped out in about a minute by loosening some screws. Remove the clamps from the plate and it’s a mostly flat surface that’s left…or I can just undo the C-clamps to move all of it out of the way to use the workbench underneath.
The metal plates Lee sells for use with its presses don’t work with the older (non-breechlock) Challenger press. Two wooden blocks are included with the kit, intended for use with other brands of presses; I drilled one for my press. The metal plate I have will end up bolted to a Classic Turret Press; I won’t need to buy one with it.
Been a while since I’ve been here, even though this was where I was introduced to sushi.
It’s National Book Week. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 56, and copy the fifth sentence as your status. Do not name the book. Copy the rules as part of your post.
(My books are mostly in various electronic devices, not on dead trees, so I’m doing this with the book I’m currently reading as opposed to a random book that happens to be on my phone right now. Pagination tends to vary between devices and is almost certainly different from a dead-tree edition.)

It’s back, just in time for sportsball season:

Just landed back in Vegas.
Picking up a little more now, but the lines are still short. Just one token left…will probably grab lunch and then head toward the airport after that.
Darth Vader, wearing a kilt, riding a unicycle, playing bagpipes. Someone must’ve taken “keep Portland weird” to heart. :)
