Aussie police: let’s prove NWA was right
Who signed off on pepper-spraying kids for any reason, let alone for something as stupid as a Face Diaper “violation?”
If that doesn’t get you humming this ditty, I don’t know what will.
Here’s an additional thought exercise: if Australia had something equivalent to our Second Amendment, do you think the police would be so quick to resort to this sort of brutality?

DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz: Hillary Clinton Is Most Admired Woman In The Entire World
Someone should inform DWS that 67% think Hillary is “not honest and trustworthy.”
Shut up, Wesley!
Nobody must’ve told Wil Wheaton it’s better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt:
Why Do Celebrities Keep Blaming The NRA For Everything?
Wil Wheaton, the erstwhile child actor who once publicly berated his parents for having political opinions different from his, has a problem with the National Rifle Association. In recent years Wheaton has taken to Twitter to excoriate the NRA for—well, for what exactly? It’s sort of hard to say.
Wheaton has loudly been declaring the same thing over and over again for some time now: “Fuck the NRA,” he regularly tweets. He said it in December 2012, in April 2013, and this year once in April, another time in April, yet another time in April, once in May, once in June, once again in June, once more in June, one more time in June, once this month, and once again this month.
Why does Wheaton hate the NRA? For the same reason many other people hate it: ignorance. Wheaton serves as a great example of the near-total sphere of stupidity that encapsulates a great deal of the perennial American gun debate: somebody told him the NRA was responsible for mass shootings and terrorist attacks, he believed it unequivocally, and he continues to believe it.

The contents of the following list originated at this site, but agents of the goons listed within had WordPress take it down. It’s a list of home addresses and phone numbers (where known) of California state senators who passed the intolerable acts signed into law by Gov. Moonbeam about a week ago. Actions have consequences.
Do these intolerable acts affect me? Only to the extent that I might travel to California to visit relatives…but that shouldn’t be relevant. Any encroachment on liberty anywhere is an encouragement to enemies of liberty everywhere, and should be fought at every opportunity.
Without further ado, the list (cribbed from here before it goes away):

Coworker: Orlando Jihadi Wanted to ‘Kill All Black People’ but Employer Did Nothing
An equal-opportunity butcher:
Coworker: Orlando Jihadi Wanted to ‘Kill All Black People’ but Employer Did Nothing
A former coworker of the jihadi responsible for the death of at least 49 people in a mass shooting at Orlando’s Pulse LGBT night club says “angry, sweating” Omar Mateen was regularly talking about committing a massacre, but the security firm they both worked for did nothing about it because Mateen was Muslim.
Daniel Gilroy, a former Fort Pierce police officer, worked alongside Matteen at the security firm G4S and told USA Today he had to leave his job because he was uncomfortable with Mateen’s routine hatred and threats of violence. “I quit because everything he said was toxic and the company wouldn’t do anything,” he said.
[…]
“I complained multiple times that he was dangerous, that he didn’t like blacks, women, lesbians and Jews,” Gilroy told The Los Angeles Times in a separate interview. “He was always angry, sweating, just angry at the world.” Gilroy added an anecdote that Mateen had once openly wished “he could kill all black people” upon seeing a black man drive past him.
Turns out the mutt was also a registered Democrat…no surprise there. Woodrow Wilson, William Fulbright, and Al Gore Sr. are no doubt smiling up from the bowels of hell at this fellow traveler.
Academia delenda est
A retired general, already at an academic think tank, gets rejected for a position at a Chiraq-area university. Their excuse? You’re not going to believe it:
Of all the displays of political myopia and intolerance in the American academy over the past several years, this story may be the most astonishing: Students and faculty at Northwestern University have forced Karl Eikenberry—a retired three-star general and fellow at Stanford University’s Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies—to withdraw his appointment as head of a new global affairs institute on the Evanston campus on the grounds that he is a “career military officer.”
The Washington Post‘s report on the story contains a truly remarkable, and telling, quote from one student involved in the crusade against the general (who has contributed to this magazine):
“An ex-U.S. general will likely think about international politics in terms of war and from the perspective of the U.S.’s interests, and the research agenda will be negatively skewed as a result,” wrote Charles Clarke, a Northwestern graduate student and one of the petition’s backers. “Instead, why not appoint someone who will encourage research that is less belligerent and tainted by U.S. bias?”
WTF? Over?
