The stringent emission rules, known as the Clean Power Plan, are at the center of President Obama’s agenda to address the threat of climate change. Many scientists say manmade greenhouse gas emissions are causing the Earth’s climate to warm, resulting in severe weather, droughts and flooding.
The agency sent what will become its final regulations for the plan to the Office of Management and Budget to undergo one last review. After the review period, which could take 60 days, the Clean Power Plan will be published and will be law.

If you want to hear the details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal the Obama administration is hoping to pass, you’ve got to be a member of Congress, and you’ve got to go to classified briefings and leave your staff and cellphone at the door.
If you’re a member who wants to read the text, you’ve got to go to a room in the basement of the Capitol Visitor Center and be handed it one section at a time, watched over as you read, and forced to hand over any notes you make before leaving.

For those out to sink Obama’s free trade push, highlighting the lack of public information is becoming central to their opposition strategy: The White House isn’t even telling Congress what it’s asking for, they say, or what it’s already promised foreign governments.

President Obama will be vacationing in South Florida this weekend, sources have confirmed for WPBF 25 News.
The president is expected to stay at the Florida National Golf Club, which is in Palm City and Port St. Lucie. Obama made a similar trip to the area in February of 2013.
Like last time, he’s expected to spend much of his time playing golf.
“That’s fantastic,” said Johanna Morphew of Port St. Lucie. “It’ll be nice to have him in town.”
“It’s good,” said Raphael Martinez of Port St. Lucie. “Get some attention. Get Port St. Lucie in the news.”
