Still timely:
Didn’t get away from the Lee’s opening empty-handed…haven’t seen this before, but tried a bit and it was quite decent. The wheat content gives it more than a passing resemblance to Maker’s Mark. Only 2014 bottles were produced, and the distiller was signing them.
It’s been a while. :)
Since everybody seems to be posting these, I spent a couple or three minutes at it and got this. Shakespeare? I don’t have that kind of genius for storytelling, but whatever. :-) You can get your score here:

Picked up one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400762623779
Among other things, I hope it’ll get my Mark II running right again…scrubbed it pretty thoroughly, but it’s still failing to extract/feed. It’ll also be good for brass cleaning.

Nobody must’ve told Wil Wheaton it’s better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt:
Why Do Celebrities Keep Blaming The NRA For Everything?
Wil Wheaton, the erstwhile child actor who once publicly berated his parents for having political opinions different from his, has a problem with the National Rifle Association. In recent years Wheaton has taken to Twitter to excoriate the NRA for—well, for what exactly? It’s sort of hard to say.
Wheaton has loudly been declaring the same thing over and over again for some time now: “Fuck the NRA,” he regularly tweets. He said it in December 2012, in April 2013, and this year once in April, another time in April, yet another time in April, once in May, once in June, once again in June, once more in June, one more time in June, once this month, and once again this month.
Why does Wheaton hate the NRA? For the same reason many other people hate it: ignorance. Wheaton serves as a great example of the near-total sphere of stupidity that encapsulates a great deal of the perennial American gun debate: somebody told him the NRA was responsible for mass shootings and terrorist attacks, he believed it unequivocally, and he continues to believe it.
The doggies had a meeting this morning. I let Malibu out to do what she needed to do, and two other dogs were let out at the same time for the same reason.
I thought I had lost some of the patches I had earned/received over the years, but I finally found them while looking for something else in my storage unit. w00t! Lots of sewing ahead of me to get all of these on my happi coats.
For the anti-gunners in your life who might be trainable, here’s a pretty decent explanation of what is an “assault rifle”…and, more importantly, what isn’t.
